NAVCON-8 Navigation Light Monitor
The ITIM Systems NAVCON-8 is a compact 96 x 96mm, flush mount
dash control module to monitor and control your Navigation Lights.
Functions include:
Sealed Touch Switch Controls to turn Nav Lights On and Off.
Green LED "Nav Light On" Display for each of 8 Nav Lights.
Each Nav Light Circuit is monitored for Faults, such as bulb failure,
power fail, wire break.
Red LED "Nav Light Fault" Visual Fault Warning for each
of 8 Nav Lights.
Amber LED "Light Group Fault Acknowledged" indications
for each of four Light Groups.
Common, audible alarm warning and remote alarm output with four
group Fault Acknowledge switches, for Steaming, Anchor, NUC and
No Nav Lights On, Light groups.
System includes a remote mounted twilight sensor to provide No
Lights On fault warning.
Twilight Monitor On switch and LED, and Display Dim switch on
front panel
Plug-in terminals on the rear for easy connection of all external
wiring.

Nav Light Groups
The Fault Monitoring is arranged in four groups, each controlled
by a group Fault Acknowledge switch to silence alarms for that
Light Group.
- Steaming Lights
Mast, Port, Stbd & Stern.
- Anchor Light + Additional Light
- Not Under Command 1 & 2.
- No Nav Lights on, when dark.
If a light fails
The red LED for that light will flash, audible warning + remote
alarm operate.
Push Group fault acknowledge switch to silence audible warning,
Red LED is steady when acknowledged. Repair faulty Nav Light circuit
to clear fault warning. |
System Operation:
Turning any Nav Light on, turns on the monitoring for that group.
The Green Switch On LED at the top of each switch illuminates
when the switch is on.
The Green Light On LED beside each switch is a feedback circuit
from each light and will illuminate if that light circuit is healthy.
The Red Light Fault LED for those lights not on in that group,
will flash and the audible warning and remote alarm sound. Turn
on other lights in group to silence audible warnings. All lights
on should show green Switch On & Light On, LEDs when operating.
All wiring terminates on three plug-in terminals on the rear of
the NAVCON-8 Navigation light, Monitor and Control Module.
Terminals 1 to 12. Steaming Lights
Fault monitor and On/Off control.
Terminals 13 to 24. Anchor and NUC
Lights Fault monitor and control.
